Under Siege

At first glance this might look like a post about a fun Sunday morning at the local toddler park. But no, my friends, it is a strategic mission by this youngster's parents to bring out her lighter side.
Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I used to write for this blog a long time ago. That was before the cold/ear infection set in - that then turned into a double ear infection. The hits just keep on coming! Last Friday, Carson started out with a zinger of a cold. Stuffy nose, fever - all the fun stuff. We thought that was all there was too it. We were even saying to each other - "Aww, poor baby, your first cold". We had no idea of the middle-of-the-night fury that lay ahead. By Tuesday morning we were walking out of the doctor's office with her first prescription for antibiotics. Long story short, we walked out of the doctor's office again this morning with yet another, stronger prescription. Its been a long week and a half, and those of you who are parents know what I'm talking about and are probably (hopefully) feeling a little bit of pity for us. We are hopeful that this new drug will make our little gal all better, thereby allowing us all some much needed sleep. We were very encouraged late this afternoon, but by bedtime the fever was back, so please cross your fingers for us. I'll try to report back soon.

Anyway, these pictures are from a fun Sunday morning at the awesome park in Elon. Its fairly new with a dedicated section for toddlers. Carson loves it. It was a wonderful diversion and we have the pictures to prove it!
