What's up?

So we're back from the beach and back into our daily swing. Thought I would give you an update on Miss Carson and what she's up to these days.

  • She's just about to cut a tooth on top

  • She's actually sleeping from 8pm to 6am most nights (but the teething thing might just interrupt that)

  • She loves her BOB stroller and swinging of course

  • Screaming is her thing - when she's happy, tired, mad, hungry

  • Almost crawling - almost

  • Lots of babbling - mostly dadadada. What about mamamamama? Where's the love?

  • Baby goldfish are her weakness

Tim and I don't get a bulleted list. Tim is reviving his golf game and continuing to ride his bike as often as he can. I am thankful for the sleep and enjoying my photography class. I'm also in a purging mode - lots of closet cleaning and reorganizing going on - a spring cleaning of sorts. We've also both taken turns working in the yard, and believe me, after the drought and neglecting it for time with that cute little girl, it was in sore shape! Hope all of you are well! Beach Baby

You know how Carson loves to swing - and this one in particular looks out over the Atlantic Ocean! What a view!
Happy girl...

Posing with Grandma Sue-Sue and Big Dave...
And one of my new favorite things to do - kick the sofa!

Myrtle Beach Days

Sorry its taken me so long to post these pics. Its always a little hectic starting the week when you've been away. We headed south to Myrtle Beach this past weekend for a bit of RandR with Nana and Papa Ned. Tim was actually on a golf trip for the weekend, so we just decided to come along. We had a great time walking on the beach, swinging at the park, and just relaxing!

A sweet hug for Mom.

While we were out shopping, the lady at the toy store had this bubble machine. I think it was the first time she's really noticed bubbles. So cute I can't stand it!

We loved the park. There's actually a section especially for toddlers and Carson had a blast!

I know there are a lot of pics with this post, but considering I took 357 shots this weekend, this is only a sampling! We had a great time!

Yeah! No more cloudy skies!

So we finally got to get outside a little bit this afternoon and get some much needed fresh air. Carson checked out the flowers (rather she taste-tested them - just kidding - I wouldn't let my baby eat them!) and I got to play around with my new lens.
One of my favorites!

What happened to Spring?

We had just a taste of Spring, and it has disappeared! I think the little one is checking to see where it might have gone. Hopefully we'll get out soon so we can take some new pictures, as the forecast has temps on the rise. Until then, there's not too much going on!

Say it isn't so....

Can't believe the Tar Heels are out. Carson didn't stay up to watch the game, but this was her reaction when we told her this morning. She really took it hard, as did her dad. Sorry there hasn't been much on the blog this week. Its been pretty boring here - rain, rain, rain. We've been able to duck out for a walk every now and then. Maybe we'll get some sun this week?????

Field Research

So the princess and I did a little "field research" today on the sleeping habits of 8 month olds. What that essentially means is that we went to Barnes and Noble and I browsed through the baby section while she took a catnap in her stroller. Turns out she's pretty doggone normal most nights. Maybe soon we'll get over that hump of the wakeup somewhere between 2-4am. Until then I will continue to enjoy that afternoon nap too! I also stumbled upon the term "self-agency". That's a fancy way of saying that she is protesting when she doesn't get what she wants. A scientific term for everything! So here's a picture that might show a little "self-agency":

Just kidding - she was actually making this face during a time when she was really excited, but she doesn't hesitate to let us know when she's not happy!
